ATI is currently seeking a Design Engineer I to join our facility located in Irvine, CA. This position will be responsible for design, modeling, estimation-related work, and support of manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions :

• Read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications
• Design forging configurations and tooling
• Run simulations to optimize the forging shapes & forging conditions
• Work with die manufactures to specify and manufacture tooling
• Manufacturing operations support
• Communicate and provide information / documents to other departments
• Investigate and analyze data to drive accurate root cause and corrective action efforts
• Perform any assigned special R&D projects
• Perform inspection of forgings and tooling
• Support an environment of mutual trust, respect, safety, and high ethical standards

Basic Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Familiarity and proficiency with CAD software AutoCAD and / or Siemens NX12 (Unigraphics) is preferred

Preferred :

2+ years of experience with FEA Modeling (SFTC Deform) is preferred

Hourly pay rates are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Salary Range : $69,410 - $110,770 / annually
