Job Description
The AV Project Manager is responsible for the overall communication, completion, and profitability of each project (large AV Installations from racks & wiring to video walls & video conferencing systems), as well as, communication and project scheduling with the client.
The AV Project Manager coordinates the installation with the client, installation and technical personnel, and any associated subcontractors.
The AV Project Manager is responsible for each project from the awarding stage through final project completion.
Responsibilities :
- Carrying out projects that meet the customer’s application of all sizes; traveling to client sites as needed.
- Planning, directing, and carrying out electronic communications and audiovisual installation projects from initial point of sale to final customer acceptance.
- Managing and leading a team of employees and exercising independent judgment in formulating a project plan.
- Ensuring the delivery of the project installation to the customer within the time and budget parameters of the project.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE 3+ years of Commercial Audio Visual Project Management experience
- Prior experience in the service, installation, or design of audiovisual and presentation systems.
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience working with AV Commercial systems like Crestron, Extron, Biamp, AMX, and other AV Commercial systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering schematics and communicate design intent to the employees and other team members.
- Prior leadership of a team or supervision of employees.
- Understanding of job financial reports and the ability to control costs in the management of projects.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and CTS Certification are preferred.
- Commutable to NYC preferred.
Requirements
Requirements : University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and / or communications environment. Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations.
Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading. Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager.
CTS-I Certification Preferred
