NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION : School Social Worker Surline Elementary / Middle Schools
QUALIFICATIONS :
Full approval by the State Board of Education and licensed as a School Social Worker or in the process of obtaining full Michigan licensure.
LMSW will be considered.
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with young children, parents, families, and inter-agency representatives.
- Ability to coordinate with outside agencies, organizations and institutions, as needed
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to provide direct individual and group support with students.
- Demonstrated capabilities in report writing, evaluation and interview procedures.
- Ability to complete required documentation, data collection, and working knowledge of Ed Plan preferred.
- Ability to organize and work collaboratively with general education and special education teachers / staff.
- Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) and Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE).
- Ability to assist in developing, implementing and monitoring behavior management plans.
SALARY : Per Master Contract
EFFECTIVE DATE : - School Year; Begins August 19,
REPORTS TO : Special Education Supervisor / Building Principals
