Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical management and demonstrate proficiency in various aspects of clinic administration.

This role is essential for ensuring that our practice runs smoothly, providing high-quality care to our patients while adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Duties

  • Direct and manage the daily operation of the organization by creating and implementing efficient processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruit, hire, terminate, mentor, and support the training of all staff consistent with the needs of the organization to ensure efficient and effective workflows, as well as employee growth.
  • Evaluate and adjust company benefit offerings to support the goals of the organization
  • Direct and drive effective communication within the organization to support a positive culture.
  • Represent the organization through participation in local professional associations and community activities, etc.
  • Help leadership develop organizational strategic plans and objectives based on the identified needs of patients and market opportunities.
  • Support revenue growth of the organization with marketing and business development activities for services offered or implemented.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure organizational goals are supported both economically and culturally.
  • Enhance, develop and / or direct policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control, according to the requirements of regulatory entities.
  • Facilitate communication between administrative staff and clinical teams to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly, enhancing overall patient satisfaction.

Performance Requirements

Knowledge :

  • Knowledge sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of a healthcare organization.
  • Knowledge of the purposes, organization, and policies of the community's health systems sufficient to interact with other health care providers.
  • Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and administrative support functions within a clinic setting.

Skills :

  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, vendors, third-party payers, patients, and the public.
  • Skill in organizing work, making assignments, and achieving goals and objectives.
  • Skill in exercising judgment and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting, and coordinating departmental policies and procedures.

Abilities :

  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over assigned work functions.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and properly prioritize multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  • Ability to organize and integrate organizational priorities and deadlines.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Must possess strong leadership qualities, and excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Must have above-average knowledge of computers and business technology and programs, and must be able to demonstrate that knowledge
  • Participate in continuing education courses annually or as required by leadership or dictated by the needs of the organization
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with acute care environments, hospital settings, or outpatient clinics is preferred.
  • Proficient in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, patients, and stakeholders.

Education and Experience Required :

  • Minimum : BA / BS in management and / or health care administration or related area; master's preferred
  • Health care management experience; surgical specialties preferred.
