This is a hybrid position based out of our Northbrook, IL Corporate Headquarter. This role will work on-site weekly from Monday through Thursday, with the ability to work remotely on Fridays.
This role is an Individual Contributor position.
A day in the life as an IT Procurement Analyst...
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and external partners, ensuring that all stakeholder needs and expectations are understood and addressed.
- Draft and present proposals, reports, and updates to stakeholders at all levels, using both written and verbal communication to clarify procurement processes, contract terms, and vendor performance.
- Monitor contract timelines, terms, and vendor agreements to ensure compliance with deadlines and requirements.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating terms, resolving conflicts, and driving improvements in service delivery while balancing cost-efficiency (within budget constraints).
- Review and manage contracts to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards. Identify opportunities for cost savings or performance improvements through regular evaluations and renegotiations.
- Conduct market research to analyze pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
What you ll bring to the table...
- Strong knowledge of IT contract standards, legal terms, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to review, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Expertise in monitoring contract performance and ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations, with a focus on identifying renegotiation or improvement opportunities.
- Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and ensure alignment in procurement processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs), and contract management systems.
- Experience with advanced tools like Hyperion, Peoplesoft, Microstrategy, Tableau, or SQL is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- 2+ years of previous work experience in a strategic sourcing / procurement function
- Previous work experience in contract management.
