Civil Science is currently seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager -Transportation to join our team in one of our Utah offices.

As a Senior Project Manager-Transportation, your role involves overseeing and managing transportation projects from conception to completion.

You will play a crucial role in coordinating various aspects of project initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with your team to coordinate and manage both engineering projects and grow our regional presence.

Key engineering projects are focused on large scale transportation design, construction management, and municipal infrastructure projects of all sizes.

Responsibilities of a Senior Project Manager -Transportation :

  • Oversee the analysis and design of urban and rural roadways, freeways, interstate highways, and interchanges.
  • Coordinate project activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide updates on project progress, milestones, and potential issues.
  • Prepare reports summarizing project status, key performance indicators, and other relevant metrics for transportation projects.
  • Oversee quality control measures.
  • Work with financial teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Ensure that transportation projects adhere to all applicable standards and policies.
  • Work closely with multi-discipline teams, including engineers, planners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Identify and address project-related challenges in a proactive manner.

Minimum Requirements for a Senior Project Manager -Transportation :

  • Must currently hold Professional Engineer License and have the ability to gain licensing in Utah through reciprocity within six months of start date
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 10+ Years Transportation Experience
  • Technical knowledge of civil engineering related services including roadway design, land surveying, environmental regulation, right-of-way acquisition, construction oversight, and public involvement
  • Experience managing mid-level size transportation projects ($5 million $20 million)
  • Existing client relationships within the Utah transportation sector such as UDOT, UTA, and local municipalities
  • History of managing project teams while mentoring a staff of engineers and designers
  • Experience writing proposals, contract management, and client management.
  • Previous experience with identifying, marketing, and securing DOT design projects.
