IPS RMB Products is seeking a Metal Welder whose primary activity is the welding of production hardware, tooling, fixturing and production molds.

Job Accountabilities :

• Performs a variety of welding and fitting tasks that meet company and departmental objectives
• Provides a variety of supporting task for the machine shop and production molding as the workloads dictate such as drilling & tapping, sawing polishing, and burning of steel shapes and details
• Requires the ability to weld-prep by sawing, and hand grinding for a good weld fitup to produce quality welds by the Mig & Tig processes
• Welding dexterity including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in predominately the one G position and six G position
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Job Specifications :

Education : Requires a High School Diploma / GED or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only.

Years’ Experience : 4-6 years of directly related experience in addition to formal training

• Preferably four to six years of directly related experience in addition to formal training
• ASME Certification is required

Skills :

• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Previous AWS certification preferred
• Previous experience building ASME Products
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and weld prints
• Strong shop math skills
• Ability to solve problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
• Good communication and organizational skills
