AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry.
As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.

We design and build every component of our hardware and software to come together into products that our customers use for accelerated computing : either Machine Learning acceleration, or FPGA acceleration.
As a member of the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team, you will be responsible for the design and optimization of hardware in our data centers including technologies such as AWS Inferentia, which is a machine learning inference product designed to deliver high performance at low cost.

- Be part of hardware design team for acceleration cards, servers, and electrical validation for silicon
- Work on schematic design for new acceleration cards

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors’ degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a graduation conferral date between December 2023 and September 2024
- Academic, internship, or professional experience with schematic design and layout review of PCBs
- Academic, internship, or professional experience with x86 system design and microcontroller programming
- Familiarity with oscilloscope and multimeters"
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project / Internship experience with Automation (Python, Perl, Shell, or Lua)
- Academic, internship, or professional experience with circuit boards (2-layer or 4-layer), buck or linear regulators, transmission lines (TE, TM, TEM), high-speed design (USB, PCIE), transistors, operational amplifiers, low-speed interfaces (I2C, SPI), Linux, microcontrollers, and soldering.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools such as Cadence Allegro, Cadence OrCAD, Altium Designer, Autodesk Eagle, KiCAD, and Spice simulation."
