Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS AWS Glue and Python.

Experience in Asset & Wealth Management is a plus. The role is hybrid with no travel required and operates during day shifts.

The candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our systems ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using AWS AWS Glue and Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable systems.
  • Provide technical expertise in AWS services to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Oversee the integration of various data sources and ensure seamless data flow within the system.
  • Implement best practices for coding testing and deploying applications to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers to maintain code quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in software development with a focus on AWS AWS Glue and Python.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Show experience in Asset & Wealth Management is a plus.
  • Have a strong understanding of data integration and ETL processes.
  • Display proficiency in implementing best practices for coding testing and deployment.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
  • Show experience in working in a hybrid work model.
  • Exhibit strong documentation skills to maintain comprehensive project records.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
  • Show the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 90,000 - 105,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
