The Facilities Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the Facilities department at the DC Bar headquarters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures beverage supplies are stocked and appropriately distributed throughout all conference and meeting rooms, as well as staff break areas.
  • Manages copy room operations by restocking paper supplies and providing basic maintenance to equipment and / or coordinating third-party repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Responds to all office supplies requests and ensures supplies are regularly inventoried, stocked, and appropriately stored / organized.
  • Provides backup support at the reception desk and in the mailroom.
  • Provides support to AV Team for meeting room setup.
  • Assists with third-party vendor escorting.
  • Provides general facilities tasks to include hanging photographs, moving furniture and maintaining internal room décor.
  • Participates in building walk-through inspections, generates needed work orders, and follows up on work order completion.
  • Provides support in emergency preparedness efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and deadline driven. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must work well in a team environment and be able to interact with DC Bar members, volunteers, vendors, the public and DC Bar employees.
  • Must work well under pressure, possess excellent organizational abilities, and be able to manage several priorities in a day.
  • Must be adaptable, creative and self-motivated.
  • Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
  • Must be able to move heavy boxes, tables, chairs and partitions and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., which will include repetitive movement.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Experience working in a membership association, a similar nonprofit organization, or law office.

This position is currently a hybrid position, with days worked in the office and days worked remotely. The hybrid status of this position may change at any time subject to the Bar’s discretion.
