This role will be a key part of the growing Worrks team. The Project Manager role is responsible for estimating projects, managing project finances, and seeking to maximize new opportunities for the organization, all while delivering exceptional client service internally and externally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide and promote a high level of service through engagement and effective communication throughout the project.
  • Prepare complete cost estimates for assigned projects, including quantity takeoff, coordination with lower-tier vendors, and application of productivity factors and markups.
  • Manage all project finances, including monthly reporting, estimated cost to complete, change order tracking, and vendor billings.
  • Negotiate, organize, understand, and maintain up-to-date contract documents.
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain project schedules in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures for all estimating and documentation processes.
  • Prepare and submit change order proposals.
  • Receive, review, document, and manage the resolution to all project specific issues.
  • Assist with the implementation and coordination of quality control program.
  • Negotiate, draft, and issue vendor subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with Hourigan accounting team on AP / AR needs.
  • Manage monthly progress billings and submit to clients.
  • Manage project documentation and administration, including RFIs, submittals, project logs, reports, and similar project requirements.
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously at varying stages within the project lifecycle.
  • Keep current on changes and trends in methods of construction and materials.
  • Build and strengthen good working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Work with the team to identify and evaluate new business opportunities or lines of work.
  • Champion and instill the importance of positive and professional relationships with all project stakeholders, including subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Potential to manage a small team of employees, providing oversight, direction, and mentoring in accordance to policies and procedures.
  • Foster and cultivate a team culture that aligns with Hourigan Construction Corp’s mission and values.
  • Participate in the Hourigan Construction Corp. Safety and Health Management System (SHMS) by committing to safe work practices, raising concerns, attending, and applying safety and health training, and eliminating hazards within your capability and control and the help of safety staff.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 8 years of general contracting experience
  • Experience and knowledge of construction estimating, means and methods, accounting, document administration, and a thorough understanding of industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Previous experience managing employees is preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling software, Textura, Procore, and Bluebeam preferred.

  • Some periodic travel may be required.
