WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Intern - Data Analytics in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2025 with the potential to work part-time during the academic year.
The hourly rate for this internship is $21.40 with paid company holidays. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote / on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.
Job Summary
The Customer Service Business Analytics team is focused on enabling data-based decision making through clear consist metrics, monitoring, and robust data analytics.
As an intern you will be involved in day-to-day support, business requirement gathering, data preparation, data analysis, data visualization and other activities including attending and participating in various meetings as part of the team.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with internal company clients to understand their analytics and reporting requirements, develop effective solutions that meet their needs.
- Support dashboard and visualization development in Microsoft PowerBI
- Assist with data preparation
- Document work procedures and business processes
- Contribute to the development of analytics team skills, knowledge and capabilities.
- Other projects as assigned.
As an Analytics intern you will gain experience with :
- Programming Languages (Python, SQL, DAX)
- Building and optimizing data models
- Dashboard and report design (PowerBI)
- Day-to-day interactions with various departments
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in Information Technology, Data Analytics, or closely related degree with a graduation date after June 2025.
- Minimum GPA of 2.8
