We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager with a strong background in aerospace logistics and supply chain management.
This position is within the Daher Operational Services Division, under the responsibility of the Site Director, and responsible for Daher Logistic activities in Mobile, managing third party logistics in the Aerospace industry.
This leadership role will have site management responsibilities and driving operational excellence within our aerospace environment.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Operations Management :
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the aerospace logistics and supply chain operations, aligning with the overall business objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the efficient flow of materials, products, and information within the aerospace environment.
Site Management :
- Take responsibility for site management, coordinating activities to meet aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate organizational processes and find ways to boost productivity while overseeing and streamlining all operations and ensuring that budgets and business objectives are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize site operations and maintain a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.
Logistics and Supply Chain Oversight :
- Lead and guide the logistics and supply chain teams in executing aerospace-specific processes, from procurement to distribution.
- Implement best practices in aerospace logistics, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Team Leadership and Development :
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the aerospace logistics and supply chain teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the team.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate the full order cycle.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting :
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for aerospace logistics and supply chain operations.
- Regularly monitor and analyze performance metrics, providing insightful reports to senior leadership.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management :
- Manage relationships with aerospace vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts, oversee performance, and drive continuous improvement in vendor relationships.
Compliance and Quality Assurance :
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Implement and maintain processes to uphold quality assurance in aerospace logistics and supply chain operations.
Customer Relations :
- Report the project roadmap to the customer to provide adequate visibility and share progress / commitments regarding action plans.
- Participate actively in customer meetings (daily / weekly reviews, steering committees, contract reviews, etc.).
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Operations Manager in an aerospace environment.
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace logistics and supply chain management processes.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience in site management, including coordination of aerospace-related activities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives in aerospace logistics and supply chain operations.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in aerospace logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Experience with ERP systems, including those used in aerospace environments.
- Project management experience in implementing aerospace logistics solutions.
