This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities of Bookkeeper :
QuickBooks Management : Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks Online. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
Expense Management : Supervise the practice's expense management platform (Divvy), ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported correctly.
Month-End Close : Coordinate with the fractional CFO to support month-end close processes. Ensure that published financials are based on accurately reported income and expenses.
Provider Compensation : Calculate and track provider compensation for employees paid based on a percentage of productivity.
Ensure accuracy and timely updates.
Payroll Coordination : Collaborate with the team member responsible for running payroll. Ensure payroll entries are accurate and all necessary information is communicated.
Receipts Matching : Work closely with the payment coordinator and insurance coordinator to match receipts with recorded transactions.
Financial Reporting : Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports. Assist in generating reports for management review.
Compliance and Accuracy : Ensure all financial practices comply with relevant laws and regulations. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial activities.
Bank Reconciliations : Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records regularly.
Budgeting Assistance : Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts in coordination with the virtual CFO.
Audit Preparation : Assist with preparation for internal or external audits.
Local Tax Compliance : Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including property tax and sales tax.
This role will not supervise Accounts Receivable (A / R) but involves close coordination with the payment and insurance coordinators to match receipts.
Requirements of Bookkeeper :
QuickBooks certification
2 years proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within a dental or healthcare setting.
Associates Degree in Accounting (preferred)
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with expense management platforms (Divvy preferred)
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various team members and external partners.
Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Compensation and Benefits
- $26-$30 per hour DOE
- 90-Day Review and wage assessment, with potential of increase
- Bonuses based on performance
- 25-30 hour work week
- Up to 5 days sick pay accrual per year.
