Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Estimator in Charleston, South Carolina.
Electrical Senior Estimator Compensation and Benefits
Total compensation for the Electrical Senior Estimator is between $100,000 and $130,000.

Electrical Senior Estimator Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing an accurate estimate of costs and timing of work, citing all risks and issues that come from the specifications and drawings.
- Partner with the Vice President of Estimating to ensure the estimate is consistent with the client’s intent and the foremen’s method of execution.
- Supports and executes the creation and review of take-offs, scheduling of trades, Industrial Controls Coordination, bid-reviews along with all mentorship and management of junior-staff internally for the internal estimating department on a regional-scale.
- Responsible for understanding how to lead and manage an estimating team on preconstruction budgets up to $10M in electrical budget.
- Analyze costs and progress to understand over run or under run opportunities.
- Manage the estimating process including defining the subcontracted work required, any issues, submitting managing RFIs and incorporating responses into quotes.
- Responsible for detailing the material required to execute the project, defining the specified product vs. generic products, and partner with procurement to obtain any information on the bidding and communication.
Electrical Estimator Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred or equivalent related years’ experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years’ experience within electrical estimating for an electrical contractor.
- Experience with conceptual budgets for new build and expansion projects - $3M+.
- Electrical Field Experience Prior Preferred, not necessary.
- Strong understanding of NEC standards and other construction standards depending on the type of project.
- Software Knowledge : MS Office, Accubid 16, Bluebeam.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
