ABOUT THIS POSITION

The network engineer, is an IT professional who is accountable for implementing, monitoring and maintaining computer network within a datacenter environment.

This includes legacy datacenter premise and our cloud environments. This role reports to the SaaS Network Engineering Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support existing Cisco equipment throughout the Datacenter environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability, security, access and performance.
  • Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, report and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes.
  • Perform firewall policy auditing and utilize change management procedures to ensure secure footprint across the organization.
  • Implement and manage routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, HSRP) and network security solutions.
  • Coordinate & conduct regular network maintenance, including software updates and hardware upgrades.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related incidents.
  • Configure and install various network device (e.g., routers, switches, DCI circuits).
  • Perform network maintenance and component upgrades.
  • Monitor performance to ensure network availability and reliability.
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning.
  • Provide level 2 / 3 support; troubleshooting to resolve incidents and issues within the network framework.
  • Work within the established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of relevant changes made to the network ecosystem.
  • Liaise with vendors for connectivity and problem resolution.
  • Participate with the Network team on-call schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Fortinet, Arista and Cisco equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
  • Familiarity of SD-WAN.
  • Proficiency with network security principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity of automation tools for system administration tasks.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Education and Experience : BS degree in Computer Science / Network Engineering.Or 5+ years experience working on network and security infrastructure.
  • Desired relevant certificationsCloud networks; GCP, AWS, AzureFortinet NSE (FCP-NS / FCSS-NS)Cisco CCNA / CCNP, and CompTIA Network+ / Project+ / Security+.
