We are looking for a talented Operations Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Oshkosh, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :

• Provides manufacturing leadership for small or medium size plant, shift or department. Manages multiple shifts of an assembly line, fabrication or machining operation
• Provides manufacturing leadership and improvement focus in operations driving results, creating and monitoring measures, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, delivery and cost
• Communicates with customers, suppliers, shop floor, stakeholders, and staff
• Leads annual operating plan, forecasts, and other measurements for manufacturing operations
• Manages, coaches, and develops staff; works with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• College, university, or equivalent degree required.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

• Significant level of relevant work experience, including managerial, leadership, and budgetary experience, required.

• Manage Supervisors on the Shop Floor. Support 1stand 2ndShift activities.
• Manage Labor & Burden spending
• Focus on Productivity
• Lead daily Production Meetings discussing Safety, Quality, Production, and any other issues affecting the plant.
• Manage the overtime for both the Shop Floor and Supervision.
• Work with Scheduling to make sure axle builds are prioritized to meet customer needs.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to assure we are building efficiently and correctly.
• Represent the Operations function when requested on customer calls, supplier calls, or inter-company calls.
• Sit in on bi-monthly meetings with the Union committee.
• Represent Operations at weekly Staff Meeting.
• Develop good knowledge of axles and gearboxes.
• Work with other departments and assist wherever needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical / Dental / Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range : $100,000-150,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.

The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
