We are looking for a leader with an entrepreneurial-spirit to act as an advisor to our clients, evaluating private money loans, construction loans, and bridge loans for real estate acquisitions, site development, and investment.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in real estate acquisition and a keen ability to assess the validity of construction budgets and schedules.
In this pivotal role, you will build, manage and grow a real estate mortgage fund portfolio. You will be integral to our daily operations, part of the leadership team, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of commercial real estate finance.
Your responsibilities will encompass but not be limited to :
- Reviewing and qualifying loan requests, gathering preliminary information, providing quotes, negotiating terms, meeting with borrowers, and managing documentation.
- You will conduct due diligence, assess risks, collaborate with third parties, perform credit checks, analyze data, and conduct site visits.
- Underwrite and identify risks on commercial loan requests that may include land entitlement projects, site development plans, construction budgets and schedules.
- Sit across from developers / builders and discuss the entitlement and permit process and issues they may be dealing with.
Offering insight and guidance as needed.
You will review loan documents and title reports, verify settlement statements, coordinate closings, manage document orders, initiate title and escrow processes, order appraisals, and ensure the successful completion of post-closing tasks.
Requirements :
- 5-10 years’ experience in real estate acquisitions / dispositions, investing, lending, commercial construction, land use and / or commercial real estate finance.
- Excellent financial analysis skills, critical thinking, attention to detail and problem solving ability.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines, all while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.
- Computer proficiency, specifically advanced skills in Excel.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of real estate financing, acquisition, investing and real estate development.
