Astrobotic is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the organization of daily operations of one or more ongoing projects and sub-systems related to the design, development, integration and manufacture of new spacecraft and their payloads.
The role will support a broad range of technical programs and sub-systems spanning structures, thermodynamics, sensors, electronics, software, and systems engineering.

Job Responsibilities
- Creating and coordinating schedules, budgets and resources for concurrent projects with staggered deliverables and reporting cycles.
- Integrating project schedules to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met and all stakeholders are kept informed.
- Collaborating with managers and leads to ensure schedule, cost, and technical deliverables are met and up to date throughout.
- Creating appropriate reports and records to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Creating technical statements of work and contracts for vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors, and evaluating the performance of those contracts.
- Assisting in the development and delivery of technical progress reports, documentation, and presentations.
- Monitoring schedule progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.
Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
- Leading the development of technical proposals for mission opportunities.
- Leading technical teams in the development of new technical products and services.
- Development and management of work breakdown structure, program budget, integrated master schedule, and program risk posture.
- Maintaining the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering or related technical field plus 5+ years leading or supporting technical projects in a fast-paced environment with project life cycle planning and execution.
- Demonstrated experience developing project budgets, schedules, and risks.
- Demonstrated experience balancing resources across multiple projects, as well as tracking scope, schedule, and budget.
- Demonstrated experience working with engineering teams and ability to quickly establish close working relationships across teams.
- Comfort with ambiguity and motivated to solve complex problems.
- Ability to work without supervision to lead the development of program plans and schedules for multiple programs concurrently.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate and influence others, build effective interpersonal relationships, and be able to foster and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading life cycle development of human-rated or mission critical spaceflight systems or subsystems.
- Program management experience in support of government customers.
- Demonstrated direct, hands-on experience with space system integration and testing, including cleanroom operations.
- Working within an agile development framework.
- Advanced MS Project skills (Resource loading / tracking, progress tracking, variance analysis, critical path review and analysis).
- Using team collaboration tools (Confluence / Jira) to manage tasks and products.
Salary Range : $105,000 - $135,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and the candidates professional experience.
Base salary is just one component of Astrobotic’s competitive total rewards strategy.
