Biller / Collector

The Biller / Collector is responsible for ensuring all bills are submitted to payers timely and without error. The Biller / Collector is also responsible for timely follow up and collection of accounts. This includes; but is not limited to; monitoring and correcting Hold Bill and PreBill edits; as well as submission of late charges and corrected claims.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience

  • No previous experience

    • Required Licenses / Certifications

    Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities

  • Knowledge of medical practices; terminology; and reimbursement policies.
  • Skill in planning; organizing; delegating; and supervising.
  • Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
  • Skill in problem solving.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to read; interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  • Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
  • Ability to interact with patients; medical and administrative staff; and the public effectively.
