Mesa Seeks a Transmission Line Senior Engineer - to work remotely - who preferably resides in the eastern U.S. to serve our customers in this region.

We are currently hiring / performing work in the following states : Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

Possess aptitude for computing and design.

• Possess working knowledge of computers and software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and software used for specific technical applications within the department.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS : Normal office environment / occasional field trips to plant sites requiring ability to walk and climb stairs or ladders in a plant or industrial setting

Education / Experience / Licensure

• A four-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited college / university
• Minimum of 10 years progressively responsible experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of Principal Engineers and Engineering Managers.
• As a fully competent Engineer, independently evaluates, selects and applies engineering principles and practices relevant to the project requirements.
• Works with the Engineering Manager and Project Manager to define project objectives, prepare design estimates, and define project requirements and design approaches for large or complex projects.
• Capable of acting as Lead Engineer on single discipline projects or smaller multi-discipline projects, responsible for determining design approach and working with design team to prepare required design documents (e.

g., drawings, specifications, calculations, etc.).

• Responsible for conceptualizing the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project or have overall responsibility for the engineering work on a routine project.
• Exercises judgment in the independent evaluation selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Capable of preparing and verifying calculations using engineering formulas and skills or application specific software as required.
• Manages personal task assignments, and for designated projects manages assignments of other design team members to ensure adherence to scope, schedule and budget.
• Must be capable of directing project design teams comprised of engineers, designers and technicians on a single project.
• Monitors project execution milestones and schedules to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Performs technical and coordination checking / review of deliverables and other project documents. Ensures deliverables comply with Business Unit procedures and meet applicable design requirements.
• Follows up on construction issues with design staff to resolve problems and concerns in a timely manner.
• Supervision of less experienced engineers or technical support personnel is exercised on an assignment basis and is not an on-going substantial component at this level.
