Position Summary
The Texas Wesleyan University Office of Alumni Relations is seeking a work-study student employee. Under the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations, this part-time position is responsible for assisting with the planning and creation of department communications and events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with creation and implementation of news stories, email communications and the monthly alumni newsletter
- Create graphics for social media and communications
- Assist with event planning, set-up and take-down for the office of advancement and alumni relations
- Assist with the creation of social media strategy and post to alumni social media platforms Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Track social media engagement on various platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Assist with alumni mailings
- Assist with administrative duties of the alumni office
- Provide excellent customer service when answering incoming office phone calls and with campus guests
Education, Certifications and / or Licenses Experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ideal candidate will have the ability to write and / or edit promotional material for alumni events and program postings
- Graphic design ability using Canva or Adobe
- Proficient knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
