Position Summary :

Responsible for managing the daily work activities of assigned Environmental Service personnel and to ensure established procedures and schedule assignments are followed. Assist the Director with establishing or improving policies, procedures, objectives and work standards.

Position Requirements :

Formal Education / Training :

High school diploma or equivalent

Workplace Experience :

At least one year of management or supervisory experience preferred but will train as needed.

Equipment and Skills Training :

Ability to accomplish work through other people while maintaining a productive professional relationship with them and all customers in assigned area. Possess good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Have the ability to learn and use computers for simple data collection and e-mail for communication. Will assist as needed in performing all cleaning duties.

Physical Environment :

All areas located in facility as assigned

Physical Effort :

Light medium lifting (35-lbs. maximum) with frequent lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing 25 lbs. Manual dexterity, balance, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing

Job also requires some office work including use of computer and other office equipment. Hearing and vision are required to be normal or correctable to normal.

Score equal to or greater than 86 = exceeds expectations

Score 84 up to 85.9 = meets standard

Score less than 84 = below standard

Annual average Press Ganey courtesy score at evaluation time :

Score equal to or greater than 88 = exceeds expectations

Score 86 up to 87.9 = meets standard

Score less than 86 = below standard

Annual Area Inspections completed (includes closets and equipment) :

Score of 26 or above = exceeds expectations

Score of 12 to 25 = meets expectations

Score below 11 = below standard

Room inspections completed :

100 or more annually = exceeds expectations

75 to 99 annually = meets expectation

74 or less annually = below standard
