Percentages represent amount of time estimated. Continuously (71-100%), Frequently (41-70%), Occasionally (16-40%), Intermittently (0-15%)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Carries out duties and responsibilities of maintaining the operations and customer service of the Fitness Center. Adherence to the company’s mission and core values is expected and is critical to the success of the Fitness department.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

  • General supervision of the Fitness Center and Recovery room.
  • Assuring the fitness and recovery areas are safe including enforcing club policies and procedures.
  • Maintains the highest quality of customer service.
  • Assures cleanliness and organization of the fitness and recovery areas, including routine housekeeping.
  • Adheres to scheduled responsibilities including attending mandatory department meetings.
  • Instructs members in proper and safe use of equipment.
  • Monitors music and TV stations and adjusts as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Communicate timely and follow up, as appropriate.
  • Active participation in required events, programs, meetings, and trainings.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Policies and Regulations Knowledge of company polices.
  • Written Comprehension and Expression Ability to read, understand and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
  • Oral Comprehension and Expression Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information.
  • Computer Ability to utilize club software program and email communication software, such as Microsoft Outlook.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of fitness center and recovery room equipment.
  • Previous customer service experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Health and fitness background preferred.
  • Experience with fitness equipment preferred.
  • Current CPR / AED Certification required (Red Cross or American Heart Association; or within 30 days of employment)
