Job Title : Materials / Receiving Assistant*
Bilingual in Spanish / English preferably
Location : Jurupa Valley Ca
Shift : Monday to Friday and Occasional Saturdays ( Half Day)
5 : 00 am - 1 : 30 pm
$23.50 - $24.50 DOE
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Materials / Receiving Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of materials and products.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring our inventory levels are maintained and that our production processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Receiving and Inspection : Receive incoming shipments, ensuring all materials match purchase orders and specifications.
- Inspect received materials for quality and conformity, reporting any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Accurately document received items in the inventory system.
2. Inventory Management : Assist in managing inventory levels, including recording stock in and out.- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies.
Organize and maintain storage areas to facilitate easy access and efficient stock management.
3. Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all materials received and processed.- Assist in preparing reports related to inventory levels, incoming and outgoing shipments, and discrepancies.
4. Collaboration : Work closely with the Materials Manager, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding any issues or queries related to shipments.
5. Safety and Compliance : Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory management and receiving.
6. Continuous Improvement : Identify areas for process improvements and contribute suggestions for increasing efficiency in receiving operations.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in materials management or logistics is a plus.- Previous experience in a warehouse, materials handling, or logistics role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and inventory management software.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks related to inventory management.- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
