As a Senior IT Network and Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and efficiency of our IT network infrastructure.
You will play a critical role in safeguarding our systems, data, and resources against cyber threats while optimizing network performance to meet the demands of our operations.
We are looking for someone who has :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network administration and security roles.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP), routing and switching technologies, and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including encryption, authentication, access control, and security architecture design.
- Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and intrusion detection / prevention systems.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
What you will typically be responsible for :
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Monitor network performance and security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into new and existing IT projects.
- Participate in the on-call rotation with support team.
When on call, be prepared to address technical issues at all times.
