POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Office Manager administers the financial services, communications, and administrative resources to support operations for the branch.
This position is responsible for accurate record keeping and filing personnel records, human resource functions, and clerical operations.
The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA is conveyed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for the administrative functions of the office.
- Oversee branch personnel services and clerical responsibilities which include Paylocity, new hires, terminations, trainings, and all branch record keeping procedures as outlined by the YMCA.
- Communicate effectively with branch staff regarding HR questions and seek support from Association office as required.
- Act as lead user / contact with Corporate MIS, finance, Human Resource & Payroll Departments to ensure staff access to appropriate training as new systems are implemented.
- Responsible for internal communications, bulletin board content, and the creation of supporting and branch newsletters.
- Attend all required meetings, trainings and conferences.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS :
- At least 21 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED. An Associate’s degree is preferred.
- Two years of administrative experience required. Two years prior YMCA experience is preferred.
- Must possess excellent administrative, office, and organizational skills; including excellent oral and written communication skills both independently and with a team.
- Must have knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures and office management practices.
- Must be proficient in computer skills and knowledge of various office software packages.
- A customer service focus and the ability to manage multiple tasks are a must.
- CPR / AED and First Aid Certifications are required or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend and stoop frequently.
- Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds.
