Logistics and Transportation Analyst

OverviewMotrex is seeking a supply chain professional to support the planning and execution of its inbound, intercompany, international and customer freight activity.

This position will drive value by optimizing transportation and distribution cost. The ideal candidate will use sound economic thinking and have a strong customer (internal & external) focus.

ResponsibilitiesLeverages the Transportation Management System (TMS) and associated routing guide as tools to balance cost and service.

Coordinate and develop international platform.Actively search for ways to further decrease transportation cost through consolidation, equipment utilization, & mode optimization.

Utilizes advanced analytics to support recommendations on efficiency and / or corrective solutions.Work with Customer Service, Supplier / Vendor Mgmt, DC Operations and the carriers to ensure effective communication throughout the delivery cycle.

Perform ad hoc analysis around service model strategy and / or network design as needed.Provide root cause analysis on vital metrics(KPI) trends in areas such as service and cost.

Lead transportation projects that drive value for the business.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.Education, Experience, Certifications : Bachelor's degree related field (Logistics and Transportation, Supply Chain, etc) from four-year College or university preferred5-7 years of related experience and / or training;
