As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide comprehensive telephone assistance to customers and perform troubleshooting and repairs both in the field and in-house for various products.
Your role will also involve conducting training sessions for customers and Toshiba staff on troubleshooting, repairs, and applications.
You'll prepare essential documentation, including service call and monthly activity reports, while maintaining a centralized technical support database to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Staying updated on technological advancements and product changes through self-directed learning will be vital, as will managing a repository of product manuals and engineering design changes for the Field Service Department.
Requirements :
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing products
- Associate degree in a technical or electrical field
- Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
- At least one year of troubleshooting and repair experience
- Attendance at in-house service training schools for products
- Skilled in using common hand / power tools, electronic test equipment, and high-voltage test equipment
- Familiarity with programming for microprocessor-based equipment, such as PLCs and computers
- Physical ability to perform tasks related to electrical work, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environments
