As a Technical Support Specialist, your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive telephone assistance to customers and conducting troubleshooting and repair activities both in-field and in-house for various products.
You'll also play a crucial role in facilitating training sessions for both customers and Toshiba personnel, covering product troubleshooting, repair, and application.
Upholding departmental protocols will be essential, as you'll be responsible for preparing essential documentation and reports such as service call reports and monthly activity reports.
Additionally, you'll maintain and update a centralized technical support database, ensuring accuracy and accessibility. Staying abreast of technological advancements and product updates through self-directed learning will be key to your success in this role.
Furthermore, you'll manage and curate a central repository of product manuals and engineering design change data for the Field Service Department, ensuring resources are readily available for effective support and service delivery.
Requirements :
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing the group's products
- Minimum one year of experience in troubleshooting and repair work
- Attendance at most in-house service training schools for products
- Proficient in handling common hand / power tools, electronic test equipment, chart recorders, and high-voltage test equipment
- Familiarity with programmers for microprocessor-based equipment such as PLCs and computers
- Physical resilience to perform tasks associated with an electrical worker in diverse environments including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in cramped or dusty conditions
