We are a multi-physician ENT Surgical practice in Grand Rapids, MI seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team.

The following DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES are central to the role :

• Answer patient phone inquiries ensuring excellent patient satisfaction.
• Assist provider in operative procedures and / or exams done in the office.
• Conduct post and preoperative office visits for surgical patients as required.
• Establishes a compassionate environment to patients, friends, and families.
• Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
• Preparing surgical charts, including H&P's, labs and radiology orders.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient's electronic medical record.
• Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs;

maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Assist in maintaining clinical supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies;

using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;

establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport;

participating in team problem-solving methods.

Flexibility to cover other positions when needed.

To ensure success candidates should also possess the following EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

Must have at least one year experience, ENT experience is a plus.

Hours are 7 : 45AM 4 : 45PM Monday Friday. We offer a competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience) with Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Healthcare (practice pays for 95%) and after a year a 401K plan.
