Job Summary
We are seeking a Law Firm Billing Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of client statements, collections and posting of payments, and billing appeals.
Must have experience in legal billing for a law firm : Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Legal X, Legal Exchange, Tymetrix, LSS, Counsel Go, Ascent.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong mathematical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining detailed records of payments and account statuses
- Sending reminders regarding overdue payments
- Researching any account discrepancies and taking appropriate timely action for resolution
- Creating accurate and informative reports
- Tracking payments and appeals
- Communicating with clients regarding the payments on their accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
- Previous experience with a law firm in the billing and collections department
- Prior experience with Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Legal X, Legal Exchange, Tymetrix, LSS, Counsel Go, Ascent
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
