Primary Function

The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner.

This position supports the day-to-day operations of the transportation services for Unaccompanied Children (UC) and Family Units (FAMU) in setting up, management, and maintenance of IT-related equipment.

All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized.

Actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission and values.

Responsibilities

Serves as IT liaison with contractor’s corporate office.

Troubleshoots and resolves IT issues impacting local contract performance.

Supports technical, systems and database management.

Training staff with IT related equipment.

Assist with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of systems.

Other duties as assigned to support Site Manager and Program Manager.

Job Requirements

Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (an associate degree with two or more years of extra relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, or more than four years of related experience may be substituted for a degree).

Have at least two years or more of documented experience in a field related to information technology support, system / database development or management, or similar occupational area;

and (a minimum of four years of experience is required when an associate’s degree with two or more years of relevant experience is substituted for a bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience in a related field when four years of experience is substituted for a degree).

Demonstrate experience applicable to the goals and objectives of this requirement and appropriate for a similar program environment.

Clean criminal background check, a favorable credit check, and no prior drug use.

Psychological, honesty / integrity validation pre-employment screening and annual re-screening.

Must be proficient in English; able to receive and understand detailed information through oral and written communication.

Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.

Must be proficient with computers, common office equipment, and MS Office suite.

Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations.

Must be able to work full time hours, weekends, and holidays.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

2-3 years’ IT experience

ORR or ICE experience

CPR / First Aid certification

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time in an office environment.

Must be able to lift, bend, and stoop up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to travel as needed.
