Breakfast Attendant

Job Description

Responsible for the overall success of the hotel's breakfast service. Must assist guests with their food and beverage needs while in the dining area.

• Set up daily breakfast spreads.
• Ensure the breakfast items are well stocked throughout the service hours.
• Cleans the entire breakfast area, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping the kitchen.
• Provide personalized service to all guests.
• Takes inventory of the food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
• Prepares food and beverages, arranging items for self-service.
• Stocks coffee and other beverage dispensers.
• Clear and cleans tables as they are vacated.
• Heat required foods to safe levels, taking temperatures as required by the health department.
• Removes trash.
• Restocks self-service food and supplies as needed.
• Washes serving equipment, returning it to the proper location.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required. Previous food service experience required.
• Must have the ability to anticipate the guests needs.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and through written communications.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently, in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work all shifts, and weekends / holidays as required.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and communicate with departmental staff in a professional and clear manner.
• Full knowledge of all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and sanitation standards.
