PURPOSE OF POSITION :
Reporting to the Beverage Manager, the Lead bartender oversees the operational running of the bar, from supervising bartenders to ensure the team provides a pleasant customer experience, to making drinks, serving customers and dealing with administrative tasks.
This role directly supervises bartenders.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE :
EDUCATION : High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE : Experience in food & beverage services.
CREDENTIALS : Current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal / state / local law
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Allocate work time as follows :
- 80% : Working shifts in bar operations (making drinks, serving customers, supervising team members).
- 10% : Research & development (R&D) for new menu items and ongoing bartender training.
- 10% : Inventory management and ordering supplies, ensuring stock levels meet operational needs.
- Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
- Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule : weekends, holidays, AM, PM, overnight and overtime when needed.
