What will I be doing?

As Senior Catering Manager, you are responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of all hotel events.

This position primarily handles complex events. You will ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales.

You will also recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.

As the event planner's primary contact, you will oversee their experience on-site and may also support and act on behalf of the Director of Catering and Events.

Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards :

  • Organize, plan, and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
  • Maintain timely communication with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are set and met.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, and processes.
  • Resolve conflicts, negotiate with others, and manage disputes, grievances, and complaints.
  • Sell and influence internal and external clients to enhance event success.
  • Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating situations to determine the best solution.
  • Ensure high-quality service by communicating effectively with the team, providing direction, guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
  • Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the business needs.
  • Regular attendance is required.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum Years of Experience : Two (2) years of hospitality-related experience at the manager level.
  • Experience : Supervision or management of 1-3 people.
  • It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions :
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc). #LI-AT3
