About the Company Seeking a Payroll Specialist :

- Working on a team of 5, the Payroll Specialist will collaborate and also be able to suggest process improvement
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist :
- Processing payroll for 1,000 employees including : Checking and auditing time sheetsProcessing any amended timecardsManaging file upkeep in accordance with local, state, and federal payroll complianceCreate weekly tax deposits
- Answering employee questions regarding paychecks
- Collaborating with the Team Lead, processing paid time off accrual based on union contracts
Background Expected of the Payroll Specialist :
- 3+ years' experience in payroll processing
- Union payroll processing is a plus but not a requirement
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree is a plus, but will not be accepted in lieu of experience for the Payroll Specialist
