House Director and Personal Assistant - Denver, CO
Primary responsibilities include (a) serving as personal assistant to primary resident and assisting her on various business, philanthropic, and personal matters and (b) serving as house director and overseeing all household staff, projects and events.
Duties include ensuring staff comply with employer-mandated rules as well as state and federal law, working with family office to oversee and manage household staff schedule and to determine household priorities, working with property manager and family office to supervise projects relating to maintenance and improvement of primary residence property with 12,000+ sf residence and two separate apartments) as well as vacation properties.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Managing primary resident’s calendar and coordinating appointments.
- Managing household staff and working with family office to facilitate annual review process for performance evaluation.
- Overseeing household staff schedule and collaborating with family office to ensure coverage is provided.
- Working with property manager and family office to determine and prioritize household projects for delegation to staff.
- Working with property manager and family office to supervise independent contractors; creating timelines and scheduling projects;
ensuring all work is completed to satisfaction of primary resident and owner.
- Working with primary resident on event planning and working with family office to prepare related budgets and to communicate expectations to contractors and employees.
- Working with property manager and family office to oversee security needs and provide regular security checks of house and property;
training all household employees on security system, and ensuring employees comply with security protocol.
- Training household staff as needed to perform tasks with quality and consistency; serving as liaison between household staff and family office.
- Preparing expense reports for submission to family office.
- Work with primary resident on philanthropic endeavors, including but not limited to research on guests and organizations and assisting primary resident with meeting preparation.
- Ensuring primary resident is provided with safe and timely transportation and overseeing all travel arrangements for primary resident and her family.
- When schedule permits, accompanying primary resident on domestic travel and assisting during excursions, including vacation properties.
