About ORMC :

Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services.

The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.

About the Position :

Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. Pharmacy technicians must have a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications.

Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements :

High school degree or equivalent
Previous experience as a hospital pharmacy technician preferred; ACPE or ASHP accredit course in compounding sterile preparations preferred.
Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
Pharmacy Technician 0 1 years experience; Pharmacy Technician II, 1 3 years experience; Pharmacy Technician III, 4 or more years experience (generally with supervisory responsibilities);

Pharmacy Technician PRN, variable hours
