POSITION GOAL
Coordinate and manage the full-cycle recruitment experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and growing a strong talent pipeline, using various sources including District career fairs and social media campaigns.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the targeted recruitment and staffing plan / strategies to increase the overall pool of diverse applicants for all areas while also focused on expanding the pool of applicants in hard-to-fill positions.
- Utilize multiple talent acquisition techniques, sourcing strategies and various recruiting tools and methods (job boards, social media, districts applicant tracking databases, networking events, university / colleges, etc.
for the purpose of recruiting and advertising employment opportunities.
- Manage the District’s recruitment team by implementing and monitoring the District’s instructional recruitment strategy initiatives.
- Collaborate with the team on marketing initiatives & strategies which will drive increased candidate pools to support the needs of the organization which includes creating a comprehensive social media recruitment strategy, which is aligned with the marketing communication of the District.
- Collaborate and train hiring managers from departments and schools to understand their needs and ensure understanding of utilizing recruitment tools to support recruitment goals.
- Partner with the Department of Legislative Affairs to ensure the community is aware of all employment opportunities in the District.
- Coordinate various recruitment events, such as District Career fairs, interview days, community outreach programs, etc.
in support of the targeted recruitment objectives.
- Screen, interview and recommend qualified candidates.
- Work with the Public Information Office and team to deliver campaigns, projects and strategies to advance recruitment efforts which includes maintaining the District’s career site.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of social media (paid / organic) campaigns, such as, preparing copywrite, postings, reviewing comments and responding accordingly, monitoring editorial calendar and content, ensure timely follow up to leads, etc.
- Analyze various data to identify the best areas in which the District is likely to find diverse candidates and candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
- Track and analyze return on investment (ROI) for recruitment activities which includes tracking the success of social media campaigns how many hits, click-through rates, leads, etc.
Prepare annual recruitment report.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with universities and colleges regarding identifying areas of need, recruiting, and obtaining high-quality candidates.
- Create and revise reports, publications, and other recruitment correspondence to include weekly vacancy report, fill-rate reports, applicant tracking, weekly interviews, social media data, etc.
- Perform and promote all activities in compliance with the equal employment and non-discrimination policies of The School Board of Broward County, Florida.
- Participate in training programs offered to enhance the individual skills and proficiency related to the job responsibilities.
- Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures.
- Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, or designee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of four (4) years, within the last six (6) years of experience participating in the selection of candidates.
- Recent experience working within primary social platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in a school system.
- Bilingual skills.
SIGNIFICANT CONTACTS-frequency, contact, purpose
Frequently communicates with Talent Acquisition & Operations directors to ensure recruitment initiatives are being implemented;
District-based leaders (, Transportation, Food Service & Nutrition, Safety & Security) to assist with recruitment initiatives.
University and college contacts to ensure Broward County Public Schools has a presence.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Light work : Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School Board.
