Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for managing information technology systems and network infrastructure in accordance with organizational policies and goals for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc.
Reports to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of essential IT operations, including computer systems, servers, virtualization and VOIP systems.
- Maintain and enhance the corporate backbone infrastructure with regards to switches, routers, and communication links.
- Troubleshoot and research complex technical problems.
- Resolve day to day IT problems including installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and end-user hardware.
- Monitor and resolve issues with reliability of network infrastructure and servers’ system performance.
- Implement and ensure controls are in place to safeguard the integrity and security of the Company’s hardware, software and network infrastructure portfolio.
- Perform and manage data backups and restores.
- Assist with escalated technical assistance issues.
- Assist in developing IT / IS documentation on procedures and policies
- Remain current on latest technologies as relates to computer equipment, hardware, software, networking and cyber security to make recommendations for enhancements to meet organization’s needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s - Information Technology or related field and 5 + years of experience with Windows environment. In lieu of education, years of experience may be considered.
- Certifications : MCP / MCSE, CCNP / CCNA is a plus.
- Strong knowledge in system administration and Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge of a security framework, ISO 27001 is a plus
- Cyber Security experience is a plus.
- Well versed with a variety of IS / IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
- LAN / WAN integration knowledge.
- Knowledge of NGFW. Fortigate Firewall is a plus
- Solid foundation in Internet technologies.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, memos and diagrams.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal and external customers / clients.
- Strong problem solving, verbal communication, people and technical skills required.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
- US Person as defined in 22 CRF Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees and those given asylum in the United States, and temporary residents granted amnesty) since work includes ITAR controlled technical data.
