Overview
The Regional Group Housing Manager will oversee group housing operations for multiple properties within their assigned region at Pyramid Global Hospitality.
This role will be responsible for managing group reservations, ensuring accurate room block inventory, and coordinating with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless group booking experiences.
The position focuses on maximizing group occupancy and revenue while maintaining exceptional service standards across multiple hotels and resorts.
Key Responsibilities : Group Housing Management : Manage and oversee group room blocks and housing operations across multiple properties within the region.
Monitor and manage group reservations, ensuring that room blocks are accurately set up, updated, and adjusted as needed.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure all group bookings align with contracted terms and conditions, including rates, concessions, and room blocks.
Coordinate with on-site property teams to ensure seamless check-in / check-out processes for group guests. Revenue Optimization : Analyze group booking patterns, pick-up reports, and trends to maximize revenue opportunities.
Work closely with the revenue management team to monitor group block performance and release excess inventory when necessary to optimize occupancy.
Implement strategies to minimize group attrition and ensure rooms are sold at optimal rates. Client Relations : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and meeting planners regarding group housing needs and room block management.
Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and manage any changes to group reservations to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
Coordinate with the sales and events teams to provide regular updates to clients on group housing status and pickup reports.
Collaboration with Teams : Collaborate with property-level teams including sales, events, and front office staff to ensure group housing requirements are met.
Partner with regional and corporate teams to implement best practices for group housing operations and to align with broader company goals.
Participate in pre-convention meetings to provide insights on group housing logistics and ensure that all departments are aligned.
Data Management & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of group room blocks and pickup activity within the hotel’s property management systems (PMS).
Provide regular reporting on group booking status, room block pickup, attrition, and other key metrics to sales and revenue management leadership.
Utilize data analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in group housing operations. Compliance & Best Practices : Ensure all group bookings comply with company policies and brand standards.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for group housing management across the region. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adjust strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge in group housing management.
Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in group housing management or related fields within the hospitality industry.
Experience managing group room blocks and housing for multi-property portfolios is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of hotel operations, including sales, revenue management, and front office functions.
