A top law firm with multiple Bay Area offices is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in handling complex commercial litigation matters.
The candidate should be admitted to the Bar in California and possess strong litigation skills.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage complex commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Assist in all aspects of discovery, including document review, depositions, and witness preparation.
- Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for use in the preparation of case strategies.
- Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and tactics.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation.
- Stay current with legal developments and changes in the law relevant to complex commercial litigation.
Requirements :
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
- 1+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation at a law firm.
- Strong understanding of civil procedure, litigation strategy, and legal research methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
1+ year of litigation defense experience.
Licensed and in good standing in California.
