Project Engineer - Heavy Civil

Company Overview : We are an award winning and well known construction company specializing in Heavy Civil. We are located in New Albany, IN and are rapidly growing.

Position Overview

Our company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of our heavy civil projects.

If you have experience with excavating, underground, grading, utilities, pipe, asphalt, highway, structural concrete and / or paving then this role could be for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the development and implementation of project plans
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project timelines are met
• Oversee the design and construction process of heavy civil projects, including underground utilities, storm drainage, site development, roadway, bridge, and wastewater systems
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, regulations, and safety standards
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and schedules

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil project engineering and management
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience with underground utilities, pipe, storm drain, asphalt, paving, excavating, civil construction, concrete, site development, roadway, bridge and wastewater
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• PMP certification is a plus
