Overview
The role of the Revenue Controller is to manage the Revenue Accounting Department and develop accounting personnel while continuously improving department policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, improve, and coordinate continuous improvement projects within the Revenue Accounting Department
- Provide direction and guidance to all Revenue Accounting personnel
- Oversees the departments hiring processes and terminations
- Ensure compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax requirements
- Ensure proper controls are in place to protect and ensure asset security
- Analyze Company transactions
- Manage annual financial audits while coordinating with outside Accountants / Auditors
- Provide technical assistance to all sister companies and subsidiaries
- Maintain positive relationships with outside professionals, such as accountants / auditors, bank personnel, vendors, etc.
- Research, analyze, and implement new technology
- Perform special tasks as requested by Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA (preferred)
- 5+ years experience in leadership / management
- 5+ years experience in Accounting-related field
- Experience with Oracle (preferred)
- Skillful in Microsoft Office Programs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
