Scope of Position
The Assistant Director of Front Office is responsible for successfully executing all operations in the rooms area departments (including Front Office, Bell Services and Guest Services) and managing staff.
Strives to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.
The Assistant Director of Front Office also holds accountability for instilling consistency of hotel and the Caribe Royale Orlando Hotel standards.
Position Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive management experience in a large hotel, golf resort preferred.
- Previous Rooms Division : Guest Relations and Front Office experience in a hotel required.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation.
- Outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation, and sophisticated communication skills.
- Professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills whilst encouraging safe and efficient resort operations.
- Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns raised by guests and members.
- Proficient with financial information and advanced arithmetic functions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet daily business demands.
- Ensure the external contract companies provided valet and transportation, run efficiently and effectively in compliance with the hotel’s operating standards.
- Ensures goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest tracking and productivity.
- Prepare operating budgets in conjunction with Director of Front Office.
- Review departmental budget versus expenditure monthly and take action to ensure expenses are kept within budgeted guidelines.
- Maintain consistent and effective flow of communication between shifts among fellow managers and associates.
- Actively participate in training and continuing education of all Rooms Division associates.
- Responsible for actively recruiting and hiring.
- Takes proactive approaches when dealing with associate concerns.
- Understand and communicate promotions and enhancements effectively with associates and guests.
- Build rapport with VIPs, members, distinguished visitors.
- Complete projects in a timely manner as required by the Director of Front Office.
- Able to perform hourly job functions as needed.
- Perform other duties that may be required as directed by the Director of Front Office.
