Reporting to the IT Senior Director of Product / Program Management for Business Applications, the Product / Project Manager will play a critical role in identifying and articulating the "what" for our financial reporting and data management initiatives.

This role involves defining business requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and collaborating with solutioning, data, and engineering teams to ensure a balanced approach to application enhancements, reporting, and data management.

Additionally, the Product Manager will oversee the testing process to ensure that all solutions meet the established acceptance criteria and are ready for deployment.

Responsibilities :

  • Work with internal customers to understand end user perspectives and pain points (focusing on the why), then transform this into solutionable capabilities.
  • Work with other product PMs to infer changes and retrofit data and analytics as they light up capabilities.
  • Gather and document detailed product requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with solution architecture and engineering teams to ensure cohesive product development.
  • Influence others to make the case for change and decide what problems to invest in.
  • Communicate product progress, updates, and plans to stakeholders and manage their expectations.
  • Plan and manage sprint plans, and drive resolution of issues.
  • Plan and execute UAT and / or implementation projects, as the need arises.

Must Haves - Required Qualifications and Skills :

  • Must have product-related experience particularly within financial data analytics or enterprise reporting.
  • Must have project management experience.

Nice to Haves - Preferred Qualifications and Skills :

Nice to have - a finance or accounting background.

Interpersonal Skills Required :

  • Communication skills - this role requires regular communication, verbally and in writing, to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal skills - as this role includes managing customer expectations and multiyear prioritization, you will be asked to independently manage relationships, navigate sensitive discussions, and diffuse potential conflict.
