This is an onsite position out of their Denver office. You should have experience with full-cycle accounting, Procore, Vista Viewpoint, WIP Job Cost accounting, and / or percentage completion.

Our dynamic construction company is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Accountant. This role is critical in ensuring the financial success and transparency of our construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our construction projects, with a focus on Work in Progress (WIP) accounting and percentage of completion.

Proficiency in Vista Viewpoint. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the financial management of our high-profile construction projects.

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

2. Utilize Vista Viewpoint to manage project accounting and financial reporting.

3. Perform WIP accounting and track the percentage of completion to ensure accurate financial representation of ongoing projects.

4. Collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.

5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in relation to construction accounting.

6. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial indicators and potential risks.

7. Assist in the development and implementation of financial management strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.

8. Participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic financial audits.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, specifically in the construction industry.

3. Proficiency in WIP accounting and percentage of completion methodology.

4. Extensive experience with Vista Viewpoint or equivalent project accounting software.

5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.

7. High level of integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial management.

8. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including project managers and senior management.
