Actively advocates for families in SPA 6 area Magnolia Community by providing educational and financial literacy. Will recruit families and other members to identify their needs.
Will schedule and facilitate workshops and / or classes with local agencies, pertaining to grants, loans, taxes, student work permits, accessing college applications, resume writing 504 / IEPs, and cyber security.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Respond to needs from the general community and community organizations, regarding educational and financial literacy. Collaborate with residents to promote knowledge of educational and financial literacy.
Provide awareness and linkages, workshops, services and opportunities to improve overall educational and financial literacy.
- Attends and presents to workshops to residents.
- Meets with residents and local city council members to express concerns with filling out applications, grant, loans, workshops, classes.
- Coordinate service delivery with other service providers.
- Advocate and connects residents with needed resources, loan, grants, applications, computer classes, technology assistance, and other systems that residents are in need.
- Attends community meetings and / or agency / collaboration meetings / trainings assigned.
- Maintains files, logs, charts, and other records in audit condition as required by agency or funding source.
- Coordinates and maintain communication with Associate Director and Director, including funder.
- Networks to develop / maintain high quality agency community profile.
- Takes leadership in the facilitation of client basic needs assessment and linkage to emergency assistance resources.
- Produces high-quality, family support documentation and client success outcomes.
General :
- Maintains confidentiality in matters of agency operations, personnel, and clients.
- Maintains positive communications with all agency staff, clients and visitors.
- Supports existing agency policies, principles, and mission.
- Exercises good judgment in performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination.
- Other related duties as assigned.
