Enterprise Project Portfolio Manager
GeneralSummary :
The Enterprise Project PortfolioManager is responsible for managing the bank's strategic portfolio of projects,programs, and initiatives and for assisting the organization in enterprise-wideprioritization to achieve the Bank's goals and objectives.
Primarily driven byexceptional project management practices and strategic leadership skills thisperson works with project sponsors, Business Leads, and 'C-suite' staff.
Thisperson is primarily responsible for accurate project portfolio reportingachievement, deviation, and alignment of benefits to the company mission,vision, strategy, and purpose.
Theselected candidate will lead and facilitate organization-wide decision-makingon the selection of projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Facilitate C-suite staff in the evaluation, prioritization, and selection of initiatives / projects to invest to achieve the Bank's mission, vision, and purpose.
- Leads and guides sponsors and business leaders through the business chartering process of new demands ensuring strategic and resource alignment across many teams and between all impacted stakeholders in the organization.
- Manages the approved enterprise project portfolio via monthly progress reporting and business check-ins to ensure the portfolio / project is achieving stated objectives within the planned time and cost and escalating risks and issues as identified.
- Track and report on planned, actual, and projected project / portfolio benefits and how they improve the organization overall.
- Conduct reviews quarterly, or at other specified intervals, with senior business and IT leaders and other relevant bodies to validate and assess the project portfolio, execute change, and reprioritize as necessary to meet business needs.
- Enhances and maintains the portfolio, project, and demand management knowledge base and tools including processes and procedures to drive consistency, accountability, and transparency to deliver maximum business benefits.
- Builds trusted and effective relationships, assists in setting direction and approach for enterprise planning and the project portfolio, resolves conflicts, delivers difficult messages with professionalism and can act with limited information and ambiguity.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
MinimumKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :
- Bachelor's degree in general business or related field or equivalent training / experience. Master's degree / MBA is preferred.
- Five years of direct experience managing and leading the selection of an enterprise-level project portfolio with demonstrated experience defining enterprise planning processes through the use of industry best practices.
- Five years of leadership experience managing (agile / waterfall / hybrid) projects / programs with a range of small-to-large projects through all phases of the project lifecycle preferably within the financial service industry across multiple and diverse teams.
- Demonstrated applied knowledge of organizational strategic enterprise planning in particular the traceability and alignment of projects, programs, and portfolios to overall strategic goals.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Portfolio Management (CfMP) certification and / or other project management-related certifications are desirable.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the portfolio objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with business strategy.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization to provide or exchange information and identify and resolve complex issues.
A high degree of political sensitivity to effectively debate for or against changes and influence / negotiate effectively at all levels to overcome obstacles and achieve portfolio success.
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting to senior staff.

Working Conditions :
Requires daily interaction withPCs and data processing software for majority of duties. Occasionally workoutside the Bank's normal business hours (i.
e. weekends, evenings or earlymorning) as necessary to meet project schedules.
